A nonmedical home health aide is a professional who assists individuals, particularly seniors or those with disabilities, with daily living activities that do not require medical expertise. This type of care is 
designed to help individuals live independently while receiving the support they need in their homes.

 

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Meal Preparation: Cooking nutritious meals and helping with dietary needs.
• Housekeeping: Light cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living environment.
• Companionship: Providing social interaction and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
• Transportation: Assisting with errands, appointments, and social activities.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in healthcare
• 2 step TB test..
•  Be 18 years of age or older, except as permitted in subsection (b).
  (2) Have a high school diploma, GED
